Frontenac Outfitters "On-Water" Canoe & Kayak Centre was created way back in 1984. Our vision is to reward consumers with a superior level of customer service, paddling expertise and an exhilarating experience.
Today, we are One of Canada's Largest, most respected, full-service Paddlesports shops. Our sincere objective is to introduce you to a fun and environmentally responsible way to explore our waterways!
Our Lake Front Location:
Perfectly situated ½ hour north of Kingston, conveniently beside Frontenac Provincial Park - Ontario's Most Southern Wilderness Park (explore 15,000 acres, 22 Lakes & 160 kms of hiking trails). Frontenac Outfitters Canoe & Kayak Centre is centrally located half way between Toronto & Montreal (3 hrs), is 2 hrs from Ottawa, and is only 1 hr. from the 1000 Islands Bridge crossing to N.Y. State.
Kayak & Canoe Sales:
We stock about 300 of the world's finest kayaks, canoes & Stand Up Paddleboards (SUP) from 11 - leading edge manufacturers, and offer test paddling 6 Days a Week on our own pristine lake. As enthusiastic matchmakers, we are constantly searching the globe for the best models to suit our customers' needs. We, the owners, carefully select each model from every manufacturer after extensive paddling and research. Buying a canoe or kayak should be fun and educational; let our expert staff help choose the right kayak, canoe or SUP Board for your family's needs!
Kayak, Canoe, & Stand Up Paddleboard Rentals, Courses, Clinics:
Paddling, a life skill for mind, body & soul is the perfect activity to be enjoyed by all ages and physical abilities. To compliment on-water sales and further expand your skills, we offer a complete range of canoe, kayak, and SUP rentals, kayak & SUP courses, kayak clinics, and kayak tours. We hope everyone who passes through our paddlesports centre leaves with a greater understanding and appreciation towards the wonderful sport we share.
Paddling Gear Sales:
How do you choose the right kayak & canoeing gear? Well at Frontenac Outfitters you paddle with it. Sound easy? It is. We stock a large selection of the latest and greatest gear, all of which can be tried before ‘U' Buy ... who else does that?
Campsites:
A "FREE" night's stay on our own waterfront & wooded campsites is available to those who purchase kayaks or canoes. So slow down & enjoy our time with us!

Paddling is Our Obsession. We don't just sell canoes, kayaks, & SUP boards, we paddle them! Our love for the sport has led us to expeditions to Australia's Gold Coast, New Zealand fjords, Belize's outer islands, Caribbean's uninhabited Cays, Florida's Everglades and Keys, to British Columbia's rugged coast, to Ontario lakes and river systems...
