Wilderness Systems Tsunami 120 Kayak Review

Wilderness Systems Tsunami 120 Kayak is the shortest member of the popular Tsunami Series of polyethylene day touring kayaks. Our test paddlers found the Tsunami 120 best fit paddlers in the 115 to 200 lb paddler weight range.

Tsunami line of innovative day touring kayaks successfully blends recreational kayak stability with touring boat outfitting and efficiency. The Tsunami’s unique flared, multi-chined hull provides a ‘very high’ degree of initial stability while also enhancing tracking performance.

Easy for beginners to master yet still satisfying for paddlers with more seasoned paddling skills. Our ‘Test Paddler Team’ agree the Wilderness Systems Tsunami 120 is part of one of most versatile polyethylene day touring kayaks ever created.

Wilderness Systems Tsunami 120 Kayak utilizes a shallow vee hull combined with multi-chined sides to create a stability level and tracking, which is higher than what’s available in most kayaks in its category. The full bow creates lift, which raises the front of the kayak up and over large waves instead of plowing into them.

A large roomy cockpit allows easy entry and exit. Wilderness Systems amazingly adjustable Phase 3 AirPro Tour seat is widely recognized as the industries finest. features include;

a user-friendly design with ergonomic elements to increase comfortadd adjustability, and provide additional support. An adjustable seat back, a seat pan that raises up under your legs to improve fit and relieve stress, and adjustable thighbraces to create the excellent contact points required to refine your paddling skills.

“Wilderness Tsunami 120 is an exceptional kayak for beginner & novice kayakers from ‘small to large’ size seeking a superior light-touring kayak fully capable of handling skills development”
