The Rideau Canal is a 126-mile / 202-km waterway connecting Lake Ontario's Kingston to Ottawa, our Nation's Capitol. It's 47 locks; blockhouses and dams are considered one of the greatest engineering feats of the 19th century. UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) declared the Rideau Canal System a "World Heritage Site" in 2007. Our Rideau Canal kayak tour concentrates on the routes most scenic 12-km stretch from historic Jones Falls to beautiful Chaffey's Locks! Our unique paddle day combines Frontenac Outfitters 25- Years Kayaking expertise with the route's human and natural history as told by eastern Ontario's raconteur, naturalist & historian Terry Sprague (NatureStuff Tours).
