2013 Discover The 1000 Islands: 1-Day Excursion (Tour)
Our Kayak Excursion Tour concentrates on the 'heart of the 1000 islands', a beautiful and rugged 20-mile (30-km) stretch. Our adventure begins west of Gananoque at our family waterfront beach property in the Bateau Channel. Traveling eastwardly we traverse through the islands before ending our day long trip just past the Canadian Span of the 1000 Islands Bridge near the Village of Ivy Lee, Ontario.
Blessed with incredible beauty and rich in history, the native people called the 1000 Islands the 'Garden of the Great Spirit'. Today the 1000 Islands region is recognized as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve (1 of only 12 celebrated sites in Canada). The emerald waters, innumerable channels and 1865 islands are part of St. Lawrence Islands National Park, (Canada's fifth oldest and smallest National Park).
Note: Tours require a minimum of 6 participants and are run on an 'On-Demand' basis. Please Contact Us to arrange a time & date for your tour today!
"Cool, fantastic, what a day. Larry's knowledge of the Islands, its history and local lore made a great trip even better!"
